Agora Conference on Panpsychism and Non-local Consciousness

Sigtuna Foundation, 25-26 October 2024

Panpsychism and Non-local Consciousness challenge conventional views of the mind and opens new avenues for exploring the profound and interconnected nature of consciousness in the universe. These concepts may provoke thought and stimulate discussion at the intersection of philosophy, metaphysics, and the scientific study of consciousness. We hope our meeting can provide an opportunity for primarily scientists and scholars to discuss reasons for and against consciousness beyond the neural activity of the brain.

We are organizing a 2-day conference devoted to the problem of consciousness, in particular panpsychism, which will be held at the Sigtuna Foundation (www.sigtunastiftelsen.se) near Stockholm, Sweden—from Friday morning 25 October until Saturday afternoon 26 October 2024. We bring together some of the most prominent and influential scientists and philosophers of the field. In addition, there will be an afternoon session open to the public at 13.30 – 15.30 on Saturday 26 October. Anyone interested in attending this session should contact and/or register at the Reception at the Sigtuna Foundation.
